A Note of Thanks

IN THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS

In 1999, we introduced "In the Spirit of Christmas" in hopes of raising concern for people
in need and as a way to share our many blessings. We asked retailers and clients to
consider the plight of victims of a devastating earthquake in Turkey. From sales of our
ornaments, we made a donation to the American Red Cross relief effort.

Today, we struggle to comprehend the tragedy that devastated our country this week. We
have been strengthened and unified by our compassion for one another, and by the
compassion of our friends all over the world.

Tonight we will light candles with our neighbors to express our grief for those we lost and
show our support for our nation. We pray for peace in our world, and for tolerance,
understanding and respect for all humanity.

This year we will make a donation once again to the American Red Cross. We are
astonished by and forever grateful for their heroic efforts.
